Demonstration at Rep Gary Day’s office in New Tripoli on June 25th

by Web Admin

So far, Rep Day has not cosponsored the resolution to impeach Gov Wolf (HR 56). Yes, we know that the emergency has been lifted by the General Assembly, but does that mean we should let Wolf off the hook? Should we also let Rep Day off the hook? We say ‘No’.

During the pandemic Governor Wolf issued an order mandating the closure of all businesses that in his arbitrary opinion were not “life-sustaining” and an order mandating that citizens of this Commonwealth stay at home.

Governor Wolf’s orders violate the prohibition against unlawful seizures and the right not to be deprived of property without due process under the 4th and 5th Amendments.

Further, Wolf’s orders violate the right of citizen’s equal protection and our freedom of speech and freedom of assembly rights guaranteed to citizens of this Commonwealth.

Should we now forget this tyrant’s misdeeds and simply ‘move on’. No. We want him impeached. We don’t care if he won’t be convicted in the Senate. We don’t care about any of the other half-dozen excuses used by lawmakers so they can sit on their hands and do nothing.

Representative Gary Day needs to stand with us and fight. If he will not fight with us on this, why would we support his reelection?

Weather
Rain or shine

Qualifier
If Rep Day cosponsors before then, we will cancel this event and plan our return to Rep Ann Flood’s office.

Note: It is very easy for a lawmaker to cosponsor a resolution or bill.  In fact, some cosponsor hundreds in a session. Yet Reps Flood, Mako, and Day refuse to stand with us against this Governor’s socialist-style tyranny. We hope they will make the right decision soon.  We are asking for very little, just a simple co-sponsorship to prove that they hear their constituents.
